Tender marinated chicken tucked into warm pita with crisp veggies and a creamy, tangy feta tzatziki — these Mediterranean Chicken Gyros are a crave-worthy, crowd-pleasing meal.

Ingredients

For Chicken Marinade:

  • lbs chicken thighs or breasts

  • ⅓ cup Greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1½ tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper

For Feta Tzatziki:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • ½ cucumber, grated and drained

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped dill or mint (optional)

  • Salt & pepper

To Serve:

  • 46 pita or flatbreads

  • Sliced tomato, red onion, lettuce

  • Optional: olives, hot sauce, extra feta

Instructions

  • Mix marinade ingredients and coat chicken. Marinate 1 hour or overnight.

  • Grill or pan-sear chicken until cooked through. Let rest, then slice.

  • Mix tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and chill.

  • Warm pita. Fill with chicken, tzatziki, and toppings. Fold and serve warm.

Notes

Make-ahead friendly. Great as bowls or wraps. Can be adapted to vegetarian or low-carb diets.
