Tender marinated chicken tucked into warm pita with crisp veggies and a creamy, tangy feta tzatziki — these Mediterranean Chicken Gyros are a crave-worthy, crowd-pleasing meal.
For Chicken Marinade:
1½ lbs chicken thighs or breasts
⅓ cup Greek yogurt
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, minced
1½ tsp oregano
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
1 tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper
For Feta Tzatziki:
1 cup Greek yogurt
½ cucumber, grated and drained
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
⅓ cup crumbled feta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped dill or mint (optional)
Salt & pepper
To Serve:
4–6 pita or flatbreads
Sliced tomato, red onion, lettuce
Optional: olives, hot sauce, extra feta
Mix marinade ingredients and coat chicken. Marinate 1 hour or overnight.
Grill or pan-sear chicken until cooked through. Let rest, then slice.
Mix tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and chill.
Warm pita. Fill with chicken, tzatziki, and toppings. Fold and serve warm.
