Crispy crostini topped with creamy mashed avocado and garlicky sautéed shrimp — a vibrant, flavorful appetizer perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing and cooking)

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Optional: chili flakes, lemon zest, fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and bake 8–10 minutes until golden.

  • Mash avocado with lime juice and salt. Set aside.

  • Sauté garlic in olive oil for 30–60 seconds. Add shrimp, season, and cook 2–3 minutes per side. Finish with lemon juice.

  • Spread avocado on crostini, top with shrimp, and garnish as desired.

  • Serve immediately or at room temperature.

Notes

Store components separately if prepping ahead. Use grilled shrimp or spicy avocado mash for variations.
