A one-pan wonder featuring juicy seared steak bites and crispy golden potatoes tossed in aromatic garlic butter — this skillet meal is comforting, satisfying, and ready in under 40 minutes.

Ingredients

For Potatoes:

  • 1 lb baby gold potatoes, halved

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, pepper, ½ tsp paprika

For Steak:

  • lbs sirloin or ribeye, cubed

  • Salt, pepper, optional garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For Garlic Butter:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp parsley or thyme

  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat oil in skillet. Cook seasoned potatoes cut-side down for 10–12 mins until crisp-tender. Set aside.

  • Sear seasoned steak cubes in batches, 1–2 mins per side. Remove and set aside.

  • Melt butter in same pan. Add garlic and herbs, sauté 1 min.

  • Return potatoes and steak to skillet. Toss to coat in garlic butter.

  • Serve hot with extra herbs or lemon if desired.

Notes

Use a hot pan for best sear. Add greens or mushrooms for a veggie boost. Swap potatoes with cauliflower for low-carb version.
